Elves watch movies

Sparkles brought Emma a movie and a snack, for staying dry overnight. However, I goofed a bit and put the remote from another TV in his hand and that was the first thing Emma noticed and sorta gave me the business about how Sparkle watched the movie with the wrong remote.  She is smarter than me, lol.

After we got the remote business settled, she blew Sparkle a kiss, told her Thank You, then ran over to me, hugged my leg, said, she loved me and that her Elf is really nice and so is Hoho.  She also asked me to explain again when/how Sparkles leaves and comes back.

While I was making breakfast, she sat down in front of Sparkles, eating her Cheerio snack that Sparkles brought and couldn't stop smiling.  She was also perplexed as to how Sparkles retrieved the Cheerios from the top pantry shelf since he is small.  Um....magic?!  Unless I want an interrogation every morning, I'm going to have to keep it simple!

Elfin' around

Sparkles arrived last night...Emma did not know whether to be excited or freak out at first, but after a 2 minute stare down, she grinned real big then hopped up on the back of the couch to meet her Elf.  Whenever we move to another room in the house, she asks if Sparkles is still in the house.  Sparkles doesn't move or go tattle to Santa until after E. goes to bed and will return in a new location every morning...tomorrow Sparkles will be bringing the Elf on The Shelf dvd, a bowl of popcorn and holding the remote...all ready for movie time!

So proud....

I can't believe our girl did it...she really followed through on her word and sat on Santa's lap!  There was a lot of talk, from Emma, that she was going to last year, but she took one look at Santa and was like, "uh-uh" in the final 10 seconds.  We are so proud of her...it did take a few moments of encouraging to sit on his actual lap, but she was all about standing in from of Santa and saying, "I want 2 babies"...she still wants two of everything, seems to be her favorite number.

We were at the Mall with her China "sister" Livi, also from Jiangxi, for a play date and lunch.  After lunch, we ended up with Santa because the girls said they would sit on his lap, together...I believe the girls gave one another courage, because we both were able to walk away with photos, even though not a photo together...Livi took a little more encouraging than Emma, but her Momma got a great picture of Livi sitting on the arm of the chair, next to Santa....sooo cute!
