No more zipper/footed pj's

We have had a pj war going on for the past few weeks.  Emma unzips her PJ's which at first was cute, but then it turned into diaper removal, then full undress immediately upon us shutting the door at bedtime.

Last night we put her in a non-zipping pj set, with a top and bottom.  Everything stayed on!  So glad to not be washing bed sheets from a leaking diaper or worrying about her warmth at night!  I had my doubts different pjs would work because Emma can remove her shirts when we tell her to.

Holy Cow

I was changing Emma's diaper this morning, which was really wet.  I exclaimed, "holy cow" and Emma responded, "mooooo".  We both laughed our heads off.  She is so cheeky!  What a wonderful way to begin the day!

Pj Houdini

Imagine this...a 17 month old fast asleep, then all of the sudden her head pops up, she rubs her eyes, yawns like a roaring lion and 30 seconds later the PJ's are untabbed, unzipped and Emma is working them off her feet, with 100 percent success in 5 seconds flat, tossing the PJ's about like a victory flag.  We witness the PJ Houdini around 8am every morning now and have to fully re-pj our mini magician before we tread downstairs for a cup of warm milk.

Parent Toolbox

The number one item needed in our "parent toolbox" at the moment is Duct tape.  Like Her Uncle Jeff, Emma loves removing her diaper...I'm sure flipping herself out of the crib will be next as she is standing more than a head taller than her crib rail at the moment.  Yesterday morning, we discovered Emma with PJ's unzipped and laying chest down in her open-faced diaper.  Emma, the crib sheet and her "wubbie" were sent directly to the wash.  Last night we broke out the duct tape and all garments remained fresh during her slumber in "The Land of Nod"!

When we remade the crib before her nap yesterday, Emma was very helpful...she stuffed her monkey, wubbie and baby through the crib rails after I put the fitted sheet back on...what a monkey!
