The Latest Batch

This batch was only 2 days, March 1-2, so we are now 55 days away.

We filed our extension paperwork this week and it was not w/o mishaps that were my fault. It would help if I wrote a check for the right amount, then write the 2nd check out of an account that is actually open. Due to the economy, our investment co. closed a fund and I wrote a check out of it. I caught it before immigration and resent them a 3rd check on Friday, but now I am waiting to see if they will take it, without sending all of our paperwork back first. It was a dumb blonde moment.

On Friday, we received notification that an agency we were working with for the TX adoption is closing due to the current lack of need for US adoptions. Good thing the TX adoption never happened or else we would have been searching for a new agency during the post-placement followups.

The ice is finally melting off the roof and crashing into the deck, and the gutters are dripping faucets. If we don't end up with water in our basement, it will be a miracle!
