BIG girl

Emma is officially a big girl now, no more pullups at nightime.  Last night she wore big girl undies to bed for the first time...since before we went to DC she had been staying dry at night but I wanted to make sure it was consistent.  Em is so proud of herself this AM!  We will have to do something special today.

Emma has said all kinds of funny stuff this week, the funniest was that her cousin Maria is from Guacamole (Guatemala).  We were discussing China and where everyone in our family was born when she volunteered Maria's birthplace.

Em grasps who is who in the family and also family members that are in heaven.  Last night we drove past the Castles (cemetery) and she mentioned her Pop-pops...said they were happy because they were drinking Pepsi and eating cheese in heaven...very true.  E. Knows she hasn't met a few of her Pop-pops and  says, "I haven't met them before, do I?".  These conversations are harder than I thought they would be...I'm always stifling tears when she asks about them and her China mom.

This week Preschool is holding a tea party for moms...I cannot wait to see Emma in her element and put faces to all the kiddos she talks about.  Doug said their Daddy Day at school was hilarious....he couldn't believe how well behaved they were.

Over the past week, Emma has more confidence using the bike with training wheels.  She has rode MILES and sleeps very well on bike riding days; falls asleep in less than 10 minutes... there will be lots of bike riding this summer!
